Summary
The first publication of the complete Thematic Index on CD-ROM occurred in March 2004. The CD is produced in small
batches as required and is constantly being updated. Each subsequent issue will bear a date such as 'November 2005'. It is intended
to put all new and amended pages created since March 2004 on-line, so that all owners will be able to keep their copies up-to-date,
whichever issue they have purchased. The likelihood is that this will happen at the end of each year. Initially there is some
catching up to do for 2004 and 2005. Each page now shows the latest date of amendment at the foot (and in some cases there have
already been revisions of revisions). Some of the amendments concern notice of new editions rather than corrections to the music
index itself.
I am very grateful to David Pinto and to Richard Carter for supplying suggestions and corrections.
Now that the Society labels its former 'Supplementary Publications' as 'Music Editions' the latter will be shown as 'ME'.
The 'SP' references will gradually be converted to 'ME' as occasion allows.
